HARRISON, Kathleen Marion

1885 - 1968

Kathleen Marion Harrison was born at Anerley, London on 27 March 1885, daughter of John Harrison (1850-26 February 1919) and his first wife Grace née Woodcock, who married at Accrington, Lancashire in 1881. In 1911, her 61-year-old father John Harrison was the proprietor of the Great White Horse Hotel, Ipswich where his 24-year-old daughter was assisting in running the hotel. A member of the Ipswich Art Club 1933-1944, exhibiting two pictures from 'San Jorge', 18 Princes Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk in 1932, 'Mike' and 'The Little Blue Jug', in 1933 'The Deben from Ramsholt Church' and 'At Tuddenham, Suffolk', in 1935 'Ferry Lane, Felixstowe' and 'Leo' and in 1937 she exhibited from 14 Constable Road, Ipswich, 'A Country Garden Posy' and 'Fidelity' and she is also known to have painted 'Riverbank, Shotley' and 'St John's from Grange Road'. In 1939, a private school teacher, living at 15a Constable Road, Felixstowe. Kathleen Mary Harrison died at Welton, Lincoln on 10 July 1968, she was unmarried.
