DENTON, John Samuel
John Samuel George Denton was born at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk on 26 February 1913, son of John Dabnaham Denton (23 February 1887-1962), a public works painter & sign-writer, and his wife Marintha Fanny née Woods (16 October 1888-1970), who married at Great Yarmouth in 1911. In 1939, young John was a ledger clerk telephonist G.P.O., living at 70 England's Lane, Great Yarmouth, with his parents and sister Phyllis. John married in the Lothingland district of Suffolk in 1943, Dorothy Joan Mallett (29 September 1922-3 November 2003). A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1990. John Samuel George Denton died at Norwich in 1993.
